Would You Rather Live in Canada or in Mexico. Which One is More Free?
Which one would you choose?
Would you rather live in a so-called ‘1st world country’, with world-class services, financial stability and “security” that you are commonly entitled to?
Or, would you rather live in a (still called by some) ‘3rd world country’ (nowadays Developing Nation), with all the unknowns such as safety, lack of proper medical services, clean water doubts everywhere or any other unforeseen ‘risks’?
If you asked me this question about a year ago, my answer would undoubtedly be the first option.
I must say this now before anything else. I feel and have always felt very grateful and privileged to have the opportunity to live in a country such as Canada.
Back to the story:
Moving to Canada didn’t happen by chance but more of a Life By Design decision. Since I was a child, I dreamed of living in another country when I grew up. From what I can recall (I was probably 7 or 8) I was thinking between Canada or Australia. I was very young to remember most of the details, but what comes to mind is that I had the impression that Canada was a very friendly country (it is) and had beautiful forests and mountains (it…
